Add Prepros as Third-Party Software
Closed, WontfixPublic

I've found a really nice cross-platform preprocessor for web devs that I'd like to be included in Solus OS. Here are the details:

Name: Prepros
Is it Open Source: Maybe? There's a Github Repository but it doesn't appear to be up-to-date:
Link to source tarball/zip file: There's only a .deb installer:

Link to the tar.

But, to be honest. It doesn't worth adding it since the latest version is 6.0.5. This version from github is ancient.

JoshStrobl moved this task from Backlog to Accepted For Inclusion on the Third Party Software board.

I contacted the dev for support and asked for the source tarball. He replied that there are no plan to support Solus OS. Too bad as it wouldn't be much work on his part to support it.

I'm glad I didn't spend any money on this yet. Guess I'll be looking into alternatives :/

Here's a possible alternative, not as nice looking but still serves the same purpose:

Given they have no plans on updating their GitHub or supporting Solus, and we have no plans on flatpaking or snapping this application, closing as wontfix. I'd suggest reaching out to the respective developers about supporting either of those distribution and container models, or taking on the initiative.
