Requesting audit (kernel config)
Closed, WontfixPublic

Description

Requesting that you enable CONFIG_AUDIT and CONFIG_AUDITSYSCALL.
It would be okay performance wise if you were to add audit support to the kernel, but set the default to audit=0 so one would have to explicitly add audit=1 to the bootloader's kernel parameters in order to enable it.

Use case is fairly obvious, but in my case, I need it for running e4rat-lite, which will further lower my HDD's boot times by about 40%.

If this gets rejected (my hopes are quite low), could you show me where Solus' kernel sources (and relevant config and patch files) are so I can build it myself?

Audit is known to be completely incompatible with our version of systemd, with it enabled you'll nuke your klog in about 3 minutes
