Event Timeline

Can't reproduce:

[~] atom &
[1] 5709

Then it launches.

Here's what I'm getting, atom doesn't launch. I have tried now with all the latest updates. I have asked about this on #Solus channel earlier, @ikey has the same issue.

Some more info. Root can open it.

May be related to how solus uses sudo as they mention there. Or something else completely :)

Update: I don't know what I changed, but not even sudo can open atom now

@usillos it seems like you can do it only once. I guess you will be able to do it again after rebooting.

I got it to work, but (surprisingly for solus) it seems atom is out of date and most plugins just don't work.

@usillos, yup, I think it's better to update atom first, who knows, maybe the bug will disappear :)

It is intentionally "out of date". They haven't landed an apm version with Nodejs 7.x support, so that means an Atom build will fail.

After update to 1.12.8 the issue is seem to be resolved.
