Here is a patch for macchanger.

Event Timeline
@DataDrake I would like to note that I have been using this software as is, and it is working quiet well.
I have also had other users bemoan the fact that it is not included in the repo, and must be compiled (or my own binary used). Are you aware of a maintained alternative? I understand that the procedure may be done manually, like so:
# ifconfig eth0 hw ether 00:80:48:BA:d1:30
However, this method does not generate a mac address for you. To the best of my knowledge, macchanger is not at all likely to become irrelevant any time soon, but I have scripted an alternative, dubbed 'mactool', as can be found here.
At any rate, I ask that such a tool be taken under consideration for inclusion in the Solus repo.
Reopening due to revised policy, appears in at least 2 distros:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/zesty/macchanger
http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/rpms/macchanger.git/
I synced the pspec (please ensure your pspec is in sync with your package.yml - this is very important) and reverted the upstream decision to use /dev/random over /dev/urandom
