GitKraken Shortcut Doesn't Get Created With Installation
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Hey, there. So yeah, when you install GitKraken from the third-party menu, nothing gets created in the main menu. You have to start it from terminal with "gitkraken".

Running Solus 1.2.1 64-bit, fully updated just this morning.

Also, oddly, after uninstall, I can't seem to find it by search in the package manager - it's there in the Third Party menu, but not in the normal searching repository like other things are.

EDIT: OK, never mind on that second point, I guess some things just aren't in the search.

Because it isn't in the repo, it's in 3rd-Party. Completely different systems. Only reason why it shows up when it is installed, is because it's installed.

You have to start it from terminal with "gitkraken".

Sounds more like Budgie Menu wasn't updating, which can occur. We provide a .desktop file:

/usr/share/applications/gitkraken.desktop, type: *, size: 245, sha1sum: 769e23ac80743608c4b30968814f1bd3194aeb78

Ah, thanks for the info. Restarting the OS fixed the issue (of course). Relogging might have also been an option.
