Faults on Shutdown/Restart
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

I'm getting the following messages after I do a shutdown or restart of the system:

[ 787.699442] DMAR: DRHD: handling fault status reg 3
[ 787.699446] DMAR: [INTR-REMAP] Request device [f0:1f.0] fault index 0 [fault reason 37] Blocked a compatibility format interrupt request

The system will sit at this screen for about 3-4 minutes and then finally reboot. Startup shows no errors and boots stupid fast, this only happens when the system is either shutting down or rebooting right after the desktop exits.

Closing due to lack of a response from @drohm. Feel free to reopen after trying the recommended fix.
