Hi guys.

I have been trying to get Solus running on my desktop PC without luck.

Specs

• MSI Z97M GAMING
• Intel i7-4790k
• Nvidia GTX 970
• Samsung SSD

BIOS is latest version.

Because I have a GTX 970, I can't boot Solus without using "nomodeset". What's weird is, I still get crashes the exact same way, before I have even installed the Nvidia drivers with DoFlicky. The only difference is some graphical artifacts.

After installing the Nvidia drivers, the crashes start happening more often. The screen goes black and it sounds like my computer is restarting, but it only takes 2 seconds and it's at the login screen.

There's nothing specific that makes it crash. I can be doing something in Firefox, change icon theme or browse the software center. Firefox will also occasionally crash.

I have both 64-bit and 32-bit drivers installed through DoFlicky.
