eid-mw is. eid-viewer isn't. the "src" tarball is bust a configure script for generating desktop files and stuffing a JAR file in the right place. The Java code for the JAR is not provided, ergo closed source.

ok so i haven't made a package of it (have to learn solus packaging + this machine isn't suited for packaging due to limited space)...
but installing the software is no problem, for those not able to wait for a proper package:

• install pcsc-lite-devel, libgtk-3-devel, ccid (depends on a ccid card, older versions requiring ac38u probably wont work since i cant seem to find the lib in the repo)
• get the middleware: http://eid.belgium.be/sites/default/files/downloads/eid-mw-4.1.21-v4.1.21.tar.gz and unpack it
• install it (configure, make, make install)
• get the viewer: http://eid.belgium.be/sites/default/files/downloads/eid-viewer-4.1.18-v4.1.18.src.tar.gz and unpack it
• install it (configure, make, make install)
• make sure pcscd is running: systemctl start pcscd.service
• check if it works: about-eid-mw should give all the info, eid-viewer should work.
