What are the practical usecases for this outside the small selection they offer and magnet link / .torrent support, which you can already get via Transmission and the like. You're typically not going to watch torrent-based content in a browser.

I think the desktop client is useful because you can stream, which you can't do with transmission.

That doesn't make any sense. Most of the time I only want to download one big file, like a movie. With streaming I can watch it straight away, but if I have to download it completely before I can watch, it will take at least 20min to finish downloading.

It actually does. You watch movie as it downloads, and then delete it. That is kinda like streaming works.

By "sequentially" did you mean simultaneously? either way, transmission can't stream.

I don't really need either of you two debating the merits of inclusion when it's already been accepted.

Unfortunately can't be built (within solbuild) atm due to a bug when building as root.

I left a comment on a related error but no word back, should probably create an issue.

Hopefully just a bug with the packager script they have.

solbuild doesn't build as root, it builds as unprivileged user build who has no privileges (which is why you can't touch much outside of /home/build and /tmp)

However, due to fakeroot, I think it shows uid of 0, which normally indicates the root user. I'm sure I encountered this before, but can't find the package
