Why is this needed given we already have remote desktop solutions, such as reminna, x2goclient + x2goserver, and vinagre?

Remmina and Vinagre are both just clients, they don't include a server component. X2go is fine, but if someone has existing NoMachine servers, then they cannot connect to them with the x2go client, they need the NoMachine client at least. Also, NoMachine server runs on Windows, so if someone wants to connect to a Windows version of NoMachine, they need the NoMachine client as well.

NoMachine distributes different archives for client/server in the main tarball, so maybe, if this approved, you could have two different packages, one for client and one for server.

It seems odd you would choose to force yourself to use the nomachine server with a new package knowing only nomachine client can talk to it, when we already have RDP servers and clients

The same can be said for Teamviewer, but you have that as an option. Also, NoMachine has better multimonitor support and many other options that are better or nonexistent in RDP. Just my personal choice.

It was just a thought anyway. I saw there was no option for NoMachine and thought I would ask. No big deal. My feelings aren't hurt.

I'd like to give a vote up for nomachine.
The nx protocol is a modern take on remote desktoping, using advanced streaming codecs like h264 and V8. Offers far superior compression and performance over VNC and RDP.
Also, theres no setup configuration and nomachine clients broadcast and detect each other on the network, providing excellent ease of use.
Its not just more of the same, it's a step up in evolution.

I vote to for NoMachine

Please, add it to your repository, or infos, how to install it on Solus 3, because, i use NoMachine for all of my PC's and, because of this, this is the only reason that holding me up to use Solus on multiple PC's, because, i'm not able to use NoMachine on Solus.

All other is great.

Please add it it, and it would be awesome.

Thanks to all devs, specialy to @ikey

I'd like to add another vote for NoMachine. It's solid software that is much nicer for personal use than TeamViewer. Also, there are Debian/Fedora/CentOS packages available if that makes it easier.

Given we have no plans on flatpaking or snapping this application, closing as wontfix. I'd suggest reaching out to the respective developers about supporting either of those distribution and container models, or taking on the initiative.
