Microphone not working using USB soundcard (Asus Xonar U7)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Hey I've been using Solus and recently bought this soundcard.

Everything is working great, I see the microphone input and if I tap on the microphone there is a veeeery slight bump in pavucontrol but I can't hear myself in a skype test call, or using hangouts people can't hear me.
I'm wondering if the microphone actually works but is somehow set to a very low volume or if it's a bug. I've also checked alsamixer and gain is at 100% and nothing is muted.

Let me know if there is anything I can provide to help resolve this issue.

Hey, I somehow missed the previous question sorry :(

Based on the difference between lsusb with the plugged in soundcard vs unplugged this should be it:
Bus 001 Device 013: ID 1043:857c iCreate Technologies Corp.

I have to mention I'm using the soundcard and it works in general. As mentioned only the microphone is an issue.
Also while I'm at it I want to say that it would be REALLY AWESOME if we could sort our soundcard by the order by which we want them to be used.
Because right now I have to re-select my external soundcard everytime my laptop goes to sleep / restarts / soundcard gets connected.
