Summary

Systems with >64 cpus are limited to 64 cpus available to the host os
dmesg shows the following for each "missing" cpu

APIC: NR_CPUS/possible_cpus limit of 64 reached. Processor XX/0xYY ignored.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Boot on a system with more than 64 cpus

Expected result

All cpus are available to the host os

Actual result

Only 64 cores are visible and handled by the host os

Environment

Clean install as of 1st Aug

  • Is system up to date? y
  • Repo: main/stable?
  • Desktop Environment: Budgie
