Helix: A post-modern text editor.
Homepage: https://helix-editor.com/
Why we should include this into the repository, i.e. what does it do that the alternatives do not?
- Helix is a modern alternative to VIM and Neovim, but equipped with many more batteries: LSP included, tree-sitter integration and much more.
- both VIM and Neovim require a huge configuration effort to get the out-of-the-box features of Helix, making it very easy for anyone to enjoy a great terminal text editor.
Is it open source?
Yes, it is open sourced with the MPL-2.0 license.

Who and how many users do you anticipate will use this software?
- Developers
- Sysadmins
- and anyone who likes to use a terminal text editor
I know this is not an argument for inclusion in the list, but I already have the packaging ready and I'm already using it on my computer :).
