Audacious rebuild request
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Is there a way to rebuild the Audacious package to add GTK support?
I know that the GTK interface has been declared obsolete by the developers. However, it so happened that QT has always had, has, and probably will have problems related to accessibility for a long time.
At the moment, we have a situation where Audacious is quite difficult to use for a blind user. Previously, when GTK was used, Audacious was the best player in terms of accessibility support.
Many thanks for your attention to this task.

Event Timeline

Audacious now supports GTK3, so I can look into enabling it. Maybe we can even support both Qt5 and GTK3 to have the best from both worlds.

@bmivzkrp After the next sync there will be a new option in Audacious to switch to GTK interface. Launch Audacious, then navigate to File -> Settings, and there will be a new button "Switch to GTK (legacy) mode". Press it, and after a restart Audacious will use GTK3 instead of Qt5.
