Summary: Laptop nvme drive not detected by Plasma 4.3 live environment

I have a new Dell XPS 17 laptop which came with a 1TB nvme drive. It is not detected by the Plasma 4.3 live environment (booted from USB).
The drive isn't listed in lsblk.

The drive is detected by the KDE Neon installer which has kernel 5.13.0-35-generic. I was able to use KDE Partition Manager in that live environment to repartition the disk. I created a 700G ext4 partition for installing Solus. The Solus live environment still doesn't see it, however. This prevents me from installing Solus on this laptop.

Details:

Secure Boot is off
Hard drive: 1 TB Micron 3400 NVMe
