- Name: xone
- Homepage: https://github.com/medusalix/xone
- Why should this be included: provides a driver for the Xbox wireless dongle, as well as a large number of other devices. The full list of supported devices is here: https://github.com/medusalix/xone#supported-devices
- Open source: yes* (*the Xbox wireless dongle firmware is downloaded from separately by the user post-installation. This resolves one of the major issues with xow.)
- Source tarball: https://github.com/medusalix/xone/archive/refs/tags/v0.2.tar.gz
xone is a kernel-mode driver that builds on the knowledge and lessons learned from xow, a user-mode driver. Credit goes to @medusalix for both xow and xone.
I've already packaged the software and have a working install. My work is on github here: https://github.com/infinitymdm/xone-solus
This will of course be submitted via Differential if/when this gets approved. There are a few kinks to work out still, notably the sudo modprobe -r mt76x2u that has to be run post-install.
I'd be glad to maintain the Solus package if approved.
