CoreCtrl profiles don't work
Open, Needs More InfoPublic

Description

I don't know if this is an issue with Solus or CoreCtrl, but currently CoreCtrl can't activate anything but the Global Profile.

I need to set my GPU to max clock to get better performance on Elden Ring, and doing it manually every time I open the game is a hassle. CoreCtrl supports this with multiple profiles. So far I tried by inputting 'eldenring.exe', 'wineserver' and even tested with 'firefox', 'Firefox' and 'Steam', 'steam', None work, and I couldn't find much about it online too.

Event Timeline

Unfortunately I don't have an AMD GPU to test this. While there is a small update to CoreCtrl available that's not yet in the repo, it doesn't look like it has any changes that could affect this.

On the other hand I've found this piece of advice on their "Setup" wiki page:

https://gitlab.com/corectrl/corectrl/-/wikis/Setup#full-amd-gpu-controls

Maybe worth a try?

Edit: Re-reading your question it seems you have problems even setting up a new profile, which worked fine in my case (even though I can't test the GPU support). It seems like you both HAVE to set an image for the profile as well as manually navigate to the executable through the "..." menu (couldn't get it to work by just pasting a path there)

Sorry for that I didn't word it correctly, the issue is not that I can't control my GPU, I even have a working undervolt profile applied. The problem is that CoreCtrl lets you set different profiles per application so it activates automatically by just creating a new profile and configuring it, but it is not activating for some reason, I tried by specifying a lot of different processes I highlighted in the original post, but none of them work.

Update: I actually got it to work once when I tried disabling the GPU on the Global Profile, so when I opened the game the GPU was set to max clock automatically, and exiting it set it to the lowest possible, but after restarting my computer it doesn't work anymore. I also couldn't find a way to solve this on CoreCtrl's GitLab.
