libreoffice fails to start with error about compute-runtime
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Libreoffice fails to start with the below error. Removing the package intel-compute-runtime solves the problem

Abort was called at 42 line in file:
/home/build/YPKG/root/intel-compute-runtime/build/compute-runtime-21.30.20482/shared/source/built_ins/built_ins.cpp
Unspecified Application Error

Event Timeline

I was unable to reproduce this on my i5-7200U machine. Can you give me:

  • The output of clinfo
  • The output of inxi -G

And make sure eopkg check doesn't return anything broken. Also, what are you trying to launch? Just libreoffice, or any specific LibreOffice application? If it's a specific document you're trying to open that's failing, can you send that my way?

Fun fact, I had to reinstall intel-compute-runtime and now libreoffice doesn't make the error anymore (I haven't rebooted my PC though), but clinfo now makes this error.

I have a feeling this can be closed, seeing as there's likely not enough information to reproduce the issue, we're probably not going to get more info since it's a year old, and whatever it is may have been solved by an update since then.

@kyrios123 , are you still experiencing the Abort with clinfo? I've installed intel-compute-runtime and clinfo produces the expected output for me.
