T8270: Add rundep to hydrapaper
Summary

Note: Following versions of this application require libhandy which isn't allowed on Solus

Changelog:

  • Implemented mate support properly
  • New icon! Should be closer to GNOME HIG - Exposed random wallpaper functionality from the in-app menu and desktop file
  • Added random wallpaper functionality from command line with -r option
  • Fixing startup error when added folders get deleted
  • Get correct localized Pictures folder on first startup - App doesn't crash anymore if a folder doesn't exist
  • Fixed wallpapers not hiding on startup
  • Refactoring and new project structure

Packaging:

  • Fix runtime dependencies
  • Use SPDX 3.x license code
  • Replace deprecated meson macros with ninja macros

Event Timeline

Add @Justin since he's the maintainer of this package and @JoshStrobl because of libhandy requirement in already released versions following 1.7.3

@kyrios123 yeah I unfortunately learned about this after the initial inclusion. I'm happy for this diff to go in but with it's future being libhandy dependant I'm not sure @JoshStrobl will want to keep it in the repo. More and more applications are using this for it's dynamic part and not the mobile-centric part so I'm hoping libhandy does get included at some stage.

No this will be removed from the repo once they begin forcing the use of libhandy.

Well then we'll have to remove it now as any version above 1.7.3 requires it I believe and they're now up to 1.9.x.

Abandoning revision. It and its deps which were solely landed for hydrapaper will be removed from the repo after the current build queue is complete.
