Summary
  1. removed legacy component.xml and add to package.yml
  2. install lynx.cfg and lynx.lss via --sysconfdir option
Test Plan
  1. Installed locally and confirmed basic functionality still works as expected.
  2. lynx.cfg and lynx.lss are now installed and available in /usr/share/defaults/lynx/.

@ikey can you please assist this user with making the config stateless :)

I feel like there's a joke I'm missing out on.. But happy to make changes needed. After a quick search, I suspect by stateless in this context you're referring to https://clearlinux.org/features/stateless?

So no config files in /etc, can do. Would something like /usr/share/defaults/lynx/ be more appropriate?

Changing config directory to /usr/share/defaults

@Justin @ikey - Is this better practice re: the config files?

install dir change to /etc/lynx

Going to drop this. The files are in root /etc/ which seems odd. But can live with as-is and pass in a local config file via alias.
