Nah I'll just cry a little on the inside. Can you test this via the network-manager-fortisslvpn package (so I assume NM and GUI bits) to ensure it works w/ openfortivpn 1.6.0? Since it was only tested via the CLI.
I tested this version quite a bit over the last few days. The command line version works mostly as expected. An issue I have had with previous openfortivpn versions on Solus (not on Arch though) is that hostnames don't translate to IP addresses. I see the changes added to /etc/resolv.conf but for some reason the translation doesn't happen. This was an issue in 1.5.0 and still is an issue. I'll follow this up with openfortivpn on github.
The latest released NetworkManager plugin is bugged and doesn't work. I just posted information on this on the mailing-list and apparently because there is already a patch available they don't plan on releasing an updated version anytime soon. I'm not sure how Solus works with downstream patches... I didn't see a way for me to do this in a PR. Anyways the relevant issue for the network-manager-fortisslvpn plugin can be found here: https://git.gnome.org/browse/network-manager-fortisslvpn/commit/?id=4195187fbe5be348222c9a8472f7c9cf0e51d346
After applying a fix for network-manager-fortisslvpn the GUI works equally well with 1.5.0 and 1.6.0. The patch can be found here: https://dev.solus-project.com/D1878
I'm in contact with the openfortivpn developer on the DNS issue.
Closing revision. Can't be updated without network-manager-fortisslvpn being updated and its diff wasn't rebased.
